PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cooling welding equipment in which a heat generating place, including the main body of a welding machine, a welding control section or the like in particularly, welding work is effectively cooled by employing a Peltier device since the actual working hours of the welding work are intermittent and short. SOLUTION: The Peltier device 2 is arranged at the vicinity of the heat generating section 1 of the welding equipment. A control current for the Peltier device corresponding to the supply of a welding current in the welding equipment is intermittently supplied to absorb heat from the heat generating section of the welding equipment.
