PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catching member which not only catches ink droplets discharged into an area other than a recording medium and guides them into a waste liquid tank, but also further prevents or reduces generation of ink mist effectively, without being degraded by nonaqueous system ink, in an inkjet recording marginless printing, and also to provide an inkjet printer with the catching member. SOLUTION: The catching member directly catches ink droplets discharged into the area other than the recording medium out of a nonaqueous system ink composition ink droplets discharged from an inkjet recording head, and consists of porous plastics manufactured by sinter forming plastics particles.
