PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide composite paper permitting emboss processing without the occurrence of blisters and being excellent in appearance. SOLUTION: The composite paper has a layer (A) composed of an olefin resin on one side or both sides of the paper, and a layer (B) composed of not less than one resin selected from the group of a high-pressure process low density polyethylene, a linear low density polyethylene and a very low density polyethylene at least on the one layer (A), wherein the resin forming the layer (A) is different from the resin forming the layer (B) in the layer (A) that has the layer (B) thereon.
