The mobile telephone includes a device for protecting it against the penetration of foreign bodies into the acoustic transducers. A closed, homogenous and thin membrane (6,6') is arranged to cover the sound inlet opening (5) for the microphone (4) and/or the sound outlet opening (3) for the loudspeaker (2). The membrane comprises a material suited to sound transmission. The membrane may be a thin titanium membrane of thickness less than 0.1 mm, preferably with a uniform thickness of 0.05 mm.
