PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sector allocation method whereby wireless resources can effectively be used. SOLUTION: The sector allocation method which is used for allocating at least one of a plurality of sectors by the management of a base station apparatus (1) itself to a specified mobile station apparatus (2) as a downlink sector, includes: a downlink sector selection notice step wherein the specified mobile station apparatus (2) selects at least one downlink sector candidate among a plurality of sectors managed by base station apparatus (1) on the basis of downlink channel quality and informs the base station apparatus (1) about the selected downlink sector candidate; and a downlink sector allocation step wherein (1) allocates at least one downlink sector among the downlink sector candidates to the specified mobile station apparatus (2).
