PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous transmission due to update of destination information when FAX transmission is executed using registered destination information. SOLUTION: A FAX server 1 is provided with a synchronized destination information storage 101 to be updated synchronously with the destination information including a FAX number and a registered ID, stored in a destination information storage 511 of a composite machine body 51; and a transmission request relay 14. Upon receiving a FAX transmission request having a destination designated based on the FAX number from the client 3, the relay 14 issues a FAX transmission request to a composite machine 5 while specifying a destination based on the FAX number, irrespective of whether the destination information stored in the storage 101 has been updated.
