PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system capable of transmitting a control channel of quality that is sufficiently higher than receiving quality of a separate information channel in the case of performing multicarrier communication from a base station to a plurality of mobile stations. SOLUTION: The system for performing multicarrier communication from the base station to a plurality of mobile terminals transmits a transmission format of the separate information channel to be transmitted to a mobile terminal from the base station by a control channel being the same as a chunk used by the separate information channel when notifying the mobile terminal of the transmission format from the base station through the control channel.
