A method for preserving ashes is provided to preserve the ashes for a long period of time using a decorative plant without feeling abhorrence by preparing the ashes in the form of powder and then mixing the ashes with an antiseptic substance. An electronic chip, or an electronic circuit is input in a pot used to grow a plant and connected to a root of the plant. Ashes of a pet are contained in a vessel, and then the vessel is buried in the pot. If a temperature rises, or moisture is short, a sensor of the electronic chip, or the electronic circuit detects the rising of the temperature, or the shortage of the moisture, and then makes a sound of representing this situation such as I am thirsty. If a user gives the pot with water, the pot makes a sound to thank for the water. The user feels as if the pet lives in the pot.
