METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A METALLIC CURRENT COLLECTOR USING IN FUEL CELL SYSTEM

A method for manufacturing a metallic current collector for a fuel cell system is provided to show improvements in corrosion resistance, life-cycle and efficiency of electricity generation. The method for manufacturing a metallic current collector for a fuel cell system comprises the steps of: processing metallic materials to prepare a current collector preform; maintaining the current collector preform under an acidic atmosphere; and plating gold on the surface of the current collector preform drawn from the acidic atmosphere. In particular, the acidic atmosphere is formed by dipping the current collector preform into an acidic solution such as a solution of sulfuring acid or hydrochloric acid for 24-48 hours.
