PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for emitting mist including a chemical substance used in the daily life such as a fragrance, a medicine, a disinfectant or an insecticide, which is capable of rapidly switching the type of the chemical substance at high speed, emitting the mist with excellent olfactory characteristics in such a way as visually beautiful, and achieving the miniaturized, economical and convenient structure. SOLUTION: The mist emission apparatus is composed of a means for locally atomizing liquid, a mist carrying tube for carrying the mist taken in by using the atomization energy, and a means (an air gun) for instantly generating high air pressure in the space between a lower part of the mist carrying tube and the liquid surface. The mist emission apparatus emits the mist in an annular-shaped or band-shaped mass. Ultrasonic waves are focused and reflected on a concave mirror lens to atomize the liquid. The mist carrying tube is structured to convert scattered ultrasonic waves to traveling waves so that air enters the mist carrying tube from the lower part of the tube in such a way as to surround the scattering liquid. An electrostatic atomizing means may be used as the means for atomizing the liquid, and the atomizing means is associated with the air gun. The fragrance including mist is rapidly switched by mounting a chemical substance including material on top of the mist carrying tube. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
