<p>An accommodating intraocular lens utilizing an optical element for correcting the vision of a patient. The optical element is positioned in the open capsular bag following an extracapsular surgical procedure and phakoemulsification of the clouded natural lens. The optical element is adjusted anteriorly and posteriorly by a plurality of arms that are linked to the open capsular bag held by the zonular system of the eye.</p> |
