PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-insulating cardboard which can be produced to give various heat-insulating characteristics so that the temperature fall of the cardboard can be adjusted in response to specific final uses. SOLUTION: This heat-insulating cardboard 12 has at least one cellulose fiber layer. The layer comprises at least partially cross-linked fibers and processed cellulosic fibers. The cardboard provides a heat-insulating property sufficient to give aΔT over a 0.5 mm and at least 3.6°C cardboard. Cups for high temperature can be made from the heat-insulating cardboard.
