PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interphone device the recording section of which can effectively be used whereby the recording section surely receives a message in the case of recording settings. SOLUTION: A living room master unit 2 includes: a recording setting button 20 for permitting recording of the message from a visitor during absence; and the recording section 22 for recording the message from the visitor, an entrance slave unit includes a recording button for transmitting a recording start signal for starting the recording to a master unit control section 25 of the living room master unit 2, and when the master unit control section 25 is called from the entrance slave unit in the recording setting state and thereafter receives the recording start signal, the master unit control section 25 of the living room master unit 2 starts the recording of the message to the recording section 22 and records the message transmitted from the entrance slave unit 1 for 15 seconds as its control.
