PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict the variation with time of a steel tapping temperature together with this dispersion. SOLUTION: In a method for predicting the steel tapping temperature, predicting the variation with time of the steel tapping temperature from a ladle with an unsteady heat-transfer calculation, based on molten steel temperature, slag temperature, initial stage refractory temperature as the ladle refractory temperature and operational schedule of molten steel treatment and casting treatment; the above initial stage refractory temperature is the one containing at least two values among a standard value, upper limit value and lower limit value and in the respective cases as the refractory temperatures, the above unsteady heat-transfer calculation is performed.
