<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse transformer having improved efficiency while suppressing variation in its characteristics, and to provide a discharge lamp lighting device using the pulse transformer. <P>SOLUTION: A bobbin 2 consists of a cylindrical member 21 having a cylindrical winding portion around which a secondary winding n2 is wound; and a covering member 22 for covering one part of the secondary winding n2, and around which a primary winding n1 is wound from the top. The covering member 22 is provided with a guiding groove 22e for housing one part of the primary winding n1 to guide it. The position of the primary winding n1 is stabilized by being guided by the guiding groove 22e, and thus, the variation can be suppressed in the characteristics. Further, the coupling between the primary winding n1 and the secondary winding n2 is strengthened to improve efficiency, compared to a case where the covering member 22 covers the entirety of the secondary winding n2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
