PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a heat damage on the input end face of a double clad fiber even when the intensity of an excitation light is increased. SOLUTION: A fiber laser device has a laser diode 20 emitting the excitation light and the double clad fiber 40 with a core 41, a first clad 42 formed on the outer periphery of the core 41, and a second clad 43 formed on the outer periphery of the first clad 42. The fiber laser device further has a condensing lens system 30 being arranged between the laser diode 20 and the input end of the double clad fiber 40, and shaping and projecting an optical profile so as to make the power density of the excitation light higher in the first clad 42 than the core 41 at the input end of the double clad fiber 40.
