PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a noise from being generated by the coincidence of the driving timings of a recording element to be driven in a block divided by time-division drive. SOLUTION: An input part for a pulse-width specifying signal for specifying the width of a driving pulse signal to be applied to the recording element is provided. A first delay circuit for shifting the application timing of the driving pulse signal to be applied to the recording element in the block erected by the recording element in the block selected by a block selecting part is provided.
