PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new propylene/1-butene/ethylene copolymer elastomer having excellent transparency, rigidity, heat-sealing property, and especially shock absorbability, and is suitable as a compounding agent for a resin. SOLUTION: This propylene-based elastomer (1) contains (a) 50 to 85 mol% of units derived from propylene, (b) 5 to 40 mol% of units derived from 1-butene and (c) 10 to 40 mol% of units derived from ethylene where the amount of the units derived from 1-butene is larger than that of the units derived from ethylene, (2) has intrinsic viscosity of 0.1 to 12 dl/g in decalin at 135°C, (3) molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) measured by the gel permeation chromatography (GPC) of not more than 3.
