HALOGEN FREE FLAME RETARDANT THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION USING ORGANIC PEROXIDES

Provided is a halogen-free thermoplastic flame resistant resin composition, which shows significantly improved flame resistance while maintaining other mechanical properties including processability, appearance and impact resistance. The halogen-free thermoplastic flame resistant resin composition comprises: (a) 100 parts by weight of a rubber-modified styrene resin comprising (i) 5-80 wt% of a rubber-modified styrene-containing graft copolymer and (ii) 20-95 wt% of a styrene-containing copolymer; (b) 0.01-15 parts by weight of an organic peroxide; and (c) 5-30 parts by weight of a halogen-free flame retardant. The rubber-modified styrene-containing graft copolymer is obtained by grafting 10-60 wt% of rubber to a blend containing 30-65 wt% of a styrene resin and 10-30 wt% of an acrylic resin.
