A semiconductor electrode using a carbon nano tube is provided to block a back electron transfer in a semiconductor electrode by attaching a carbon nano tube having an anchoring functional group to the surface of a metal oxide layer of a semiconductor electrode. A semiconductor electrode is made of a metal oxide layer to which dye particles are absorbed. A carbon nano tube having an anchoring functional group is attached to the surface of the metal oxide layer. The functional group can be at least one functional group selected from a group of a carboxyl group, a phosphoric acid group and a salicylic acid group. The metal oxide layer can be a nano structure material selected from a group of a quantum dot, a nano dot, a nano wire, a nano belt and a nano particle.
