BACKLIGHT UNIT AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY MODULE INCLUDING THE SAME

A backlight unit and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) module including the same are provided to prevent light leakage phenomenon from being generated between a light source substrate and a construction member, thereby reducing the loss of light efficiency. Plural light emitting diodes(120) generate light and are mounted on a light source substrate(116). The light source substrate encapsulates the surface except for the light emitting surface of the light emitting diode and reflects the light from the light emitting diode. A reflection layer(118) is formed at any one of the front and rear surfaces of the light source substrate. The light incoming surface of a light guide panel(124) is formed to be opposite to the exit surface of the light emitting diode. Both end surfaces of the light source substrate are attached to the light guide panel. An LCD panel(102) implements an image. A light source unit supplies light to the LCD panel and includes plural light emitting diodes.
