METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AV DEVICE CONTROL IN BASE OF UPNP USING PROXIMITY SENSE IN HOME NETWORK

A method and a system for controlling a UPnP(Universal Plug and Play)-based AV device using a proximity sensor in a home network are provided to quickly perform AV control and increase user convenience by reducing the number of UIs(User Interactions) provided to a user. A controller controls a CP(Control Point) so as to install an RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) reader unit(405) and RFID tags(406,407) in an MS(Media Server) and an MR(Media Renderer), read device information of the RFID tags(406,407) from the MS and the MR according to a contact of the CP to set a source device and a target device, and reproduce or record media of a UPnP service.
