<p>A transmission rate control method and an MS(Mobile Station) are provided to transmit data without reducing a transmission rate in uplink even when new data to be transmitted is generated within a transmission buffer, thereby accomplishing smooth data transmission. A node B transmits an RGCH(Relative Rate Grant Channel) including a command for controlling a transmission rate in uplink to an MS(S101). If data to be transmitted does not exist in a transmission buffer and a receiving signal on the RGCH is detected as "0" or "+1", the MS decides that the RGCH including a hold command for holding the transmission rate is received in the MS, and holds the transmission rate(S102,S104).</p> |
