<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular light emission device capable of detecting any abnormality of a semi-conductor light source when a wiring for detecting any abnormality is in a normal state, and turning off the semi-conductor light source when the wiring for detecting any abnormality is opened. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicular light emission device comprises a switching regulator 12 for supplying the power from a power supply to LEDs 20-28 belonging to groups G1, G2, G3, a forward voltage detection circuit 16 for detecting the forward voltage of each group, and an abnormality detection circuit 18 for detecting any abnormality of any LED based on the detected output of the forward voltage detection circuit 16. The LED 22 and the LED 24 are connected to each other with wiring 72, 74 for detecting abnormality, voltage detection terminals 64, 66, and the forward voltage detection circuit 16 as bypass circuits, and the LED 26 and the LED 28 are connected to each other with wiring 76, 78 for detecting abnormality, voltage detection terminals 68, 70, and the forward voltage detection circuit 16 as bypass circuits. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
