PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule type endoscope camera capable of acquiring image information on the entire wall surfaces in a living body. SOLUTION: The capsule type endoscope camera includes an illumination unit (17) for illuminating the wall surfaces in the living body with illumination light, an imaging unit (20) for imaging the illuminated region by the illumination unit, driving units (11, 12, 13a, 13b, 14a, 14b) for rotating the illumination unit and the imaging unit around an axis extending in the advancement direction of the camera, and an accommodating member (10) for accommodating the illumination unit, the imaging unit, and the driving unit.
