The Video Thumb is a gadget or widget worn on the thumb digit, to protect th e thumb from discomfort and indentations of the video game controller. The video gam e controllers of today are designed, or technically manufactured with cross patterns sharp edges. When the thumb interacts with the game controller on the directional pad, buttons, or analog stick, the indentations cause fatigue and discomfort. The directional pad is shaped like a cross, some game manufacturers have indentations of "rings" on their analog sticks, others have sharp edges, protruding dots, triangular shapes, and small holes built into the design of the video game controller pad. With applied pressur e from the thumb to the control pad, the design of the control pad causes blistering an d pain when used for extended periods of time. |
