PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support device for taking both enhancing efficiency and lowering acoustic noise into account in designing a fan. SOLUTION: In the support device, a processing control unit 13 activates a flow calculating unit 21, an efficiency calculating unit 22, an acoustic noise calculating unit, an evaluation value (trade-off information) calculating unit, a storage control unit, and a shape changing unit (control parameter changing unit) 29 by using a designated control parameter. The evaluation values under taking the efficiency and the acoustic noise into account are stored in a simulation result storage unit 20 (evaluation storage unit) for each control parameter. Therefore, it can be known which control parameter produces the best evaluation value with reference to the stored evaluation values. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
