PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supernatant sucking and filtering apparatus of whitewash water which hardly causes clogging of a filter 6 and needs only one air-tight and liquid-tight vessel. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a sealed vessel 1 having a whitewash water introducing port 3; a whitewash water collection vessel 4 disposed above the bottom od the sealed vessel 1 and collecting whitewash water from the introducing port 3; and a filter vessel 5 provided inside the whitewash water collection vessel 4 and having a filter 6 at the bottom. A filtrate storing part 9 is formed under the vessel 4, the upper part of the filter vessel 5 is communicated with the filtrate storing part 9, the sealed vessel 1 is connected to a first negative pressure generator 10, and the filter vessel 5 is connected to a second negative pressure generator 11, the negative pressure P1 of the vessel 1 is set higher than the negative pressure P2 of the filter vessel 5, the supernatant of the whitewash water in the whitewash water collection vessel 4 is filtered by the filter 6 of the filter vessel 5 and sucked up so as to allow to flow down to the filtrate storing part 9.
