PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map generating device capable of easily redisplaying a map which has been displayed before. SOLUTION: A map display device includes a map data acquiring means of acquiring a plurality of map data, a map history recording means, a map history acquiring means, and a map redisplaying means. The plurality of map data are obtained, by turning a plurality of maps electronic data and the map history recording means records the history of display forms of maps, displayed on a display screen in a storage section in a time series manner. The map history acquiring means acquires a history, corresponding to a redisplay request from the storage section, in response to the user's request for redisplay. The map redisplay means after acquiring map data of a map, corresponding to the redisplay request, on the basis of a history corresponding to the re-display request by the map data acquiring means, displays the map corresponding to the redisplay request.
