W/O-TYPE EMULSION COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a W/O-type emulsion composition having high moisturizing effect to the skin and excellent usability and emulsion stability. SOLUTION: The W/O-type emulsion composition contains (A) glycerol monooleate, (B) a surfactant having a branched chain on an alkyl group, (C) an aqueous component and (D) an oil component and satisfies the conditions (1) and (2): (1) the inner water phase ratio obtained by dividing the mass of the aqueous component C by the sum of the mass of the aqueous component C and the oil component D is≥70% and (2) the ratio of the glycerol fatty acid diester and/or the glycerol fatty acid trimester existing in the oil phase as an oil compounded as the oil component D or as an impurity of the component A is≤20% based on the total mass of the oil component D.
