<p>The shoe press roller (1), forming a long press gap with a counter roller (2) e.g. to extract water from a wet paper web, has a flexible roller mantle (4) rotating around a carrier (3). The mantle is closed at the edges, and an inner shoe (5) with a lubricated surface (6) bears against the mantle inner wall. The lubricant is applied to the mantle wall surface by an applicator (7), with a scraper (9) to remove the surplus for collection through an outflow (11) into a catch container (10). A suction pump unit (8) to empty the roller mantle has a hydraulic pump (13) at the carrier to give the outflow into the container.</p> |
