The device has a base body that is longitudinally relocatable along a guiding path (13) of a carrier body (1) of a measuring device. A clamping unit (35) is swivelably mounted at the base body. The clamping unit has an eccentric surface (36) that is eccentrically formed with respect to a swivel axis (S). The eccentric surface is in contact with the carrier body by swiveling the clamping unit such that the base body is fixed to the carrier body and in a state that relocatable supports the base body at the carrier body. An independent claim is also included for a measuring device for determining a position of two components that are movable relative to each other.
