APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DISPLAY USER INFORMATION IN NETWORK PRINT SYSTEM

A device and a method for displaying user information in a network print system are provided to enable a user to easily check a current printing job state by displaying user information on a panel of a printer without any operation when the user requests a printing job. A host(100) displays a screen for requesting the user information including user name information and password information for canceling the printing job if the user requests the printing job. The host packetizes/transmits the inputted user information and printing data through the network. The printer(200) stores the user information and the printing data to a storing part(230), outputs the printing data, and displays the user information of the processing or standby printing jobs in printing request order to the panel by calculating an estimated printing processing time. If cancellation of the printing job is requested, the printer requests a password and deletes the printing data in the storing part when the received password is identical with the password stored in the storing part.
