A date and time information input method is provided to enable a user to input the date and time information stored in a remote controller to an image display device using a specific input key formed at the remote controller so that the user can easily input the present date and time information even though the previously inputted date and time information is erased as the main power of the image display device is turned off. A date and time input system comprises a memory(110), a transmitting part(120), a receiving part(210), a text processing part(220), and a display part(230). The memory(110) stores the present date and time information. The transmitting part(120) transmits the present date and time information stored in the memory(110). The receiving part(210) receives the date and time information transmitted from the transmitting part(120). The text processing part(220) executes text processing for the information received to the receiving part(210) and outputs it. The display part(230) displays the text information outputted from the text processing part(220). The memory(110) and the transmitting part(120) are installed at a remote controller. The receiving part(210), the text processing part(220), and the display part(230) are installed at an image display device. The present date and time information is displayed on the image display device when an input key specially formed at the remote controller is manipulated.
