PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide image-processing equipment, an image-processing method which can shorten a processing time, and reduce a memory by simplified color implementation decision. SOLUTION: This image-processing equipment comprises a color conversion means which translates a first color information value expressed by a plurality of elements of apparatus non-dependence types on a color space into a second color information value expressed by a plurality of elements of apparatus dependence type on the color space, a picture printing means which prints a color picture by the combination of color materials of a plurality of coloring materials based on the second color information value, and a color reproduction determination means which determines that the first color information value is outside the range of the color that can be printed by the picture printing means if at least one element of the second color information value translated by the color conversion means exceeds a predetermined reference range.
