PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spun yarn obtained by mixing polyester staple fibers improving fibril resistance and a dangling feeling while having softness suitable for clothes uses with cellulose ester staple fibers and spinning the mixed yarns and to provide a fabric. SOLUTION: The spun yarn is composed of the polyester staple fibers and the cellulose staple fibers and is composed of a thermoplastic composition consisting essentially of a cellulose ester in which at least a part of acyl groups are≥3C acyl groups. The spun yarn comprises at least≥20 wt.% of the cellulose ester staple fibers having 5-40% elongation and 25-150 mm fiber length. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
