<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method and a new device capable of easily removing inclusions in a molten metal such as a molten steel. <P>SOLUTION: A rotary motion generating coil 12 is provided in the outer circumferential face of a cylindrical vessel 11, and further, a coil 13 for generating motion in an axial direction is provided in the outer circumferential face of the vessel 11. Rotary motion is caused to the molten metal S charged inside the vessel 11 by Lorentz force produced from the rotary motion generating coil 12, and motion in an axial direction is caused to the molten metal S by Lorentz force produced from the coil 13 generating motion in an axial direction, thus inclusions included in the molten metal S are flocculated, enlarged, and then removed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
