PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fermented tea leaves containing a large amount of lactic acid which cannot be imaged in conventional fermented tea leaves while using a conventional fermented tea producing method. SOLUTION: The fermented tea leaves which contain≥3.5 g lactic acid per 100 g tea leaves are stably produced by steaming tea leaves followed by natural fermentation, pickling the tea leaves in a barrel in a condition of blocking air, and lactic fermenting the product followed by drying. When steaming the tea leaves, steam is made to bring into contact with mineral ore producing anion (anion radioactive mineral). COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
