A substrate conveying roller is provided to constantly and smoothly convey a substrate by maintaining a weight applied to each roller properly. A substrate conveying roller(20) comprises a body(22) and a contacting member(24). The body is inserted into a shaft(10), and has a receiving groove at an outer circumference with a predetermined width. The contacting member is inserted into the receiving groove of the body, has a plurality of protrusions at regular intervals on a surface to be surface-contacted to a bottom surface of a substrate(S). The body includes a plurality of cut units(26). Cross sections of the receiving groove and the contacting member are rectangular. The contacting member is made of ethylene propylene diene monomer.
