SOLUTION: The information recording and reproducing device includes a housing 10 having a hole, an optical pickup 284 provided in the housing 10, a chassis 28, etc., a cam 32, etc., a plate 12 and a first guide 14, etc. The chassis 28, etc., are provided in the housing 10, clamp an optical disk and leave the optical disk when releasing the optical disk. The cam 32, etc., drive the chassis 28, etc., when the chassis 28, etc., leave the optical disk.
