A DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) receiving apparatus and method for multi service are provided to simultaneously provide a plurality of digital multimedia services by simultaneously receiving and processing a plurality of different ensembles. A DMB receiving apparatus includes a plurality of RF(Radio Frequency) receivers(102), a baseband decoder(103), an A/V(Audio/Video) decoder(104), an output unit(106), a user interface(109), a controller(108), and an output interface(107). The RF receivers receive a plurality of DMB ensembles having different frequency bands and convert the ensembles into baseband digital broadcasting signals. The baseband decoder extracts audio/video data from the baseband digital broadcasting signals and transmits the audio/video data to the A/V decoder or the controller. The A/V decoder decodes the audio/video data. The output unit outputs the decoded audio/video data. The user interface transmits a corresponding command to the controller at the request of a user. The controller controls the RF receivers to receive the DMB ensembles or controls the baseband decoder to transmit the data, and transmits the audio/video data to the output interface. The output interface transmits the audio/video data to an external data processor.
