APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC RECOVERY FOR WEB SERVICES-BASED BUSINESS PROCESS

A device and a method for automatically recovering a web service-based business process are provided to minimize user interruption in the business process and a recovery error generable in manual recovery by automatically recovering the business process based on an automatic recovery policy use when the business process is interrupted by a system error. An automatic business process recovery property setting part(102) previously sets up the automatic recovery policy for execution progress of the web-based business process(101) after an interrupt time point in a business process design process. A storing part(108) sequentially stores the execution progress of the business process until a system error generation time point. An automatic business process recovering part(107) automatically recovers execution of the business process based on the execution process stored in the storing part according to the automatic recovery policy by loading the automatic recovery process when the system error is generated. The web-based business process is described in an XML(eXtensible Markup Language) document.
