<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate the amount of glycated hemoglobin with high precision, to provide a method and an apparatus for using a fructosyl peptide oxidase immobilizing body specific to glycated dipeptide formed from glycated hemoglobin and to accurately quantify a glycated substance of a hemoglobin β chain being the definition of HbA1c. <P>SOLUTION: After a specimen containing glycated hemoglobin is treated with protease of the genus Bacillus, a mechanism for detecting electrochemically active substance increased and decreased by the fructosyl peptide oxidase acting on fructosyl valyl histidine and the catalytic reaction of fructosyl peptide oxidase is used to electrochemically detect the concentration of fructosyl valyl histidine in the specimen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
