PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excessive increase of brake pad temperatures in any of wheels by separately and precisely grasping the temperatures of the brake pads of the respective wheels in a vehicle having an anti-lock brake system (ABS) and a vehicle travel stable controller (VSC), with a plurality of wheels being slip-controlled separately. SOLUTION: In a vehicle having a plurality of wheels friction-braked by brake pads, temperatures of brake pads of the respective wheels are separately grasped based on a travel condition of the vehicle.
