PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paste-application device which decreases variations in discharge quantity due to rotational angles of a screw of a discharging device which discharges paste, and also provide a display panel-manufacturing method using the same. SOLUTION: In the paste-application device 10, a bar-shaped screw 41, on which a spiral projection line T is formed, is provided in a cylinder 40 having a nozzle 36. Paste S in the cylinder 40 is sent out in the axial direction, by rotating the screw 41, to discharge it from the nozzle 36.
