PURPOSE:To prevent a peculiar portion of the shaft from being worn, in the screw feeding unit of a machine tool, by shifting the engaging position of a ball nut engaging with a screwed shaft by means of an interposed spacer. CONSTITUTION:A bracket 2 is fixed to the end face of the slide base 1 of a machine tool. On this bracket 2, a motor 11 is fixed with bolts 15 via a spacer 8. The ball screw 23 is driven by the motor 11 and forced to drive a slide table 27 through a ball nut 24. If only the assigned engagement portions of both ball screw 23 and ball nut 24 are worn, the spacer 8 is removed after loosening the bolt 15 and the engagement position is shifted by protruding the ball screw 23 along a distance equivalent to the thickness of the spacer. |
