A fuel display damping method of a digital gauge is provided to accurately show the fuel amount even in a fuel fluctuation according to driven condition of a vehicle while displaying the amount of fuel stored in a fuel tank of the vehicle, measured at a fuel sender. A fuel display damping method of a digital gauge comprises four steps. The first step is for measuring the amount of fuel by detecting a change of oil level through a fuel sender. The second step is for judging driven condition of a vehicle on the level or slanting road by using information about driven condition inputted from various sensors of the vehicle and judging whether fuel display amount damping is needed or not to prevent a digital fuel amount gauge from being changed due to a change of resistance(30) caused by oil oscillation. The third step is for judging whether the fuel amount is in a region between negative and positive hysteresis measured in the first step when the driven condition of the vehicle needs the fuel display amount damping. The fourth step is for maintaining the number of lightened segments(N,N+1) when the fuel amount is in the region between negative and positive hysteresis.
