LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD DRIVING FOR THE SAME

An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method for driving the same are provided to improve image quality by changing scanning direction of gate lines by a unit of frame or sub-frame to compensate the brightness difference generated at the correspondent frame or sub-frame. There is provided an LCD having a liquid crystal panel(102) in which a plurality of gate lines(GL0~GLn) and a plurality of data lines(DL1~DLm) are arranged. A gate driver(104) supplies each gate line with a scan signal. A data driver(106) supplies each data line with a data voltage having a predetermined voltage level. A control unit(108) controls the gate driver in order to change the scanning direction of the gate lines by a unit of frame or sub-frame which is divided from one frame.
