摘要 <p>A gas converting apparatus using gliding plasma is provided to improve a conversion rate of gas by a wide plasma area inside a reaction chamber, and to control a gliding speed of the plasma. A gas converting apparatus using gliding plasma includes a reaction chamber, an electrode unit(47), a power(61), a magnetic field generating unit(53), and a gas supplying unit(45). The reaction chamber provides a cylinder-shaped internal space, and has an exhaust pipe at a lower part thereof. The electrode unit(47) is extended downward while being mounted to the reaction chamber and is insulated from the reaction chamber. A cross section of the electrode unit becomes smaller as the electrode unit is extended to a lower part, and a lower end thereof is placed in the internal space of the reaction chamber. The power(61) applies electricity to the reaction chamber and the electrode unit(47), and induces plasma between an inner wall of the reaction chamber and the electrode unit(47). The magnetic field generating unit(53) is installed outside the reaction chamber, rotates a plasma arc induced inside the reaction chamber to a circumferential direction of the electrode unit(47), and forms a plasma area. The gas supplying unit(45) supplies gas inside the reaction chamber, makes the gas pass through the plasma area, and makes the gas converted to another kind of gas by receiving energy from the plasma.</p>
