PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of suppressing radiation of an intense radio wave due to inconsistency of a combination of a communication apparatus and an external antenna module. SOLUTION: The communication apparatus comprises a connector to which an external antenna module is connected, a generation unit which generates a transmission signal of a specified frequency band to be supplied to the antenna module via the connector, an acquisition unit which acquires information relating to an antenna gain from the antenna module, and a control unit for performing specified processing so that the intensity of a radio wave radiated from the antenna module according to the transmitted signal does not exceed an upper limit value determined for the specified frequency band on the basis of the antenna gain related information.
